Carbon Footprint

As a group we have measured our environmental impacts for 8 years. Our targets are reviewed and set annually, and published in the Group Annual Environmental Report.

As Nomenca Limited we have developed our business Carbon Footprint Model, which will be the basis for a structured approach to a cost effective carbon footprint reduction. Carbon Footprint will be measured at both framework and individual project level delivering a whole life carbon cost and economic cost comparison.

Individual project level
For all projects an energy plan is produced during stage 2 design, which details plant and the potential energy optimisation. This generates a carbon footprint calculation with regards to electricity, chemical and gas usage, which allows us to review alternative and renewable energy options with a cost benefit analysis. Early stage plan creation promotes design efficiencies, acting as a KPI against carbon budget. This is part of our target to deliver carbon neutral sites.
