Continued support of local communities in and around our regional areas of business.

To maintain and increase our support for local and national charities.

To retain and expand the established links between local business and schools.

Community

Nomenca support a wide variety of charitable and community causes with each regional office nominating a charity or community cause and setting annual fund raising targets. Additionally, we also sponsor WaterAid through corporate events and CIWEM.

Reaching and investing in our local community is achieved through Open Day events held at regional offices. This provides the company with the opportunity of reaching both residents and businesses alike. In addition the events have been beneficial in targeting a locally based workforce running in conjunction with our ‘back to work’ scheme which is partnered by local Job Centre’s. Having a locally based workforce lowers our carbon footprint and assists in emergency site call outs.

As part of our support of todays youth for the future, Nomenca has links with local primary schools as part of our education programme. Both visits to schools and operational sites such as Minworth and Bridlington have taken place during 2008 as part of the National Curriculum. Community projects have been supported to create ponds and wildlife areas in schools, through providing labour, plant and materials free of charge.
