    Nomenca mentioned in UU Corporate Responsibility Report 2011 for our work on Runcorn WwTW

    United Utilities have recently produced their Corporate Responsibility Report for 2011 and under sustainable construction have included Nomenca's work on Runcorn WwTW.

    "....We are also getting smarter at reducing construction waste by finding alternative uses for it. For example, Nomenca, working at Runcorn wastewater treatment works, were replacing the old steel gas holder and concrete sub-structure. The concrete was demolished and taken to a recycling firm who were able to extract the steel reinforcement, a valuable material. The remaining concrete was crushed and returned to the site to be used as backfill...."
