Our mechanical and electrical design, installation and commissioning services comply to the rail sectors specific operating standards including Pollution Prevention (Oil / Fuel Storage) England 2001.

Typically, the M&E work required involves;

Replacement of exising underground fuel oil, lubricating oil and antifreeze pipework with above ground flanged pipework.

Supporting steelwork and gantries.

Replacement of existing fuel pumps and de-aerator equipment.

Installation of failsafe electrically actuated valves.

Installation of new control panels, cabling and software to enable the offloading of fuel oil, lubricating oil and antifreeze into storage tanks and the dispensing from tanks to trains, all within bunded areas or secondary containment.

The work is undertaken within the constraints of an operational depot, involving the interface of existing and new installations to achieve a smooth transition with minimum impact on operations. In addition we can also provide full station refurbishment.
